Business Analyst

We are looking for a driven and results-focused analyst to join our Malton team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is able to pull key actionable insights from data.

The business analyst will focus on improving process, communication, tracking, monitoring, and reporting in the commodity pork area of the business. By accurately documenting and reporting required actions and monitoring and reporting the results, they will drive visibility on initiatives and outcomes, resulting in transparency and accountability for the sales and agricultural teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop standardized reporting to be completed and automated in a consistent and timely manner
  • Lead the weekly and monthly reporting process
  • Train, implement and monitor tools to ensure execution of strategic priorities and initiatives
  • Ensure the routine use of support tools, by the sales and agricultural teams, as developed by the analyst
  • Communicate the results of the executions and reports through various means: weekly meetings, continuous improvement (CI) meetings etc
  • Assist with process changes within the pork sales and agricultural teams and ensure consistent delivery of new standards
  • Assist in the coordination for the pork and agricultural teams at the National Commercial Conference (NCC) sales meeting and mid-year training and planning meeting
  • Develop and implement performance measurement tools to track team performance and measures

Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience with analytics and time management (essential)
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, with very strong attention to detail (essential)
  • A deeply analytical mindset and desire to improve complex challenges
  • A strong ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders in a concise and engaging manner
  • Strong teamworking ability especially in collaborating with and influencing the CIE sales teams
  • Advanced computer skills Excel (pivot, V look ups etc), SharePoint (permissions/workflows etc) and PowerPoint (essential)
  • Ability to understand and learn data flow and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems through logic and dependencies
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and able to work within a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to influence and build internal relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills (essential)
  • Strong business and technical acumen
  • Graduate calibre or qualified by experience
  • Driving license and own vehicle (desirable)
