Commercial Support Executive

Reporting to the commercial sales account director, the commercial support executive will provide essential support to the commercial sales team through maintaining site customer records, managing customer demand and resolving customer and internal queries. As well as any additional support to the commercial business teams may require. This is a crucial appointment for the team and fantastic introduction to a growing fast paced food manufacturing environment. For the right candidate there will be enormous scope to learn and interact with the business and our customers and therefore potential to progress and develop a career within Karro Food Group.

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage new product innovations, introductions and changes ensuring that SAP and factory specification master files are updated accordingly, ensuring a smooth progression through to launch
  • Liaising with the factory for sample labels for scanning, approval and arranging for products to be sent for external imaging
  • Liaising with product label printers, design agencies and internal departments with regards to redesign or launch requirements, progressing from design to approved release and delivery, to meet key product range change and launch deadlines
  • Maintaining RSP pricing files and positively communicating changes to customers and internally via weekly bulletins and as and when required
  • Maintaining and updating cost pricing and product linking for all sites via SAP, communicating changes where required and ensuring internal files match customer records
  • Organising the production and delivery of product samples in a timely, cost effective manner through the new product development department and factories
  • Managing label stocks and files to minimise stockholding and write-offs
  • Managing customer order changes and requirements through discussion with planning, logistics and customer services
  • Advising senior management of potential or actual service and quality issues and maintaining a service and quality document daily, circulating a service level report for specific customers also daily
  • Monitoring promotional performance and reviewing the daily order matrix and maintaining a weekly order matrix for specific customers
  • Issuing the latest forecast and sales report files to relevant internal teams
  • Raise purchase orders, monitor invoices and oversee the payment of invoices for the team, liaising with accounts and senior management where required

Skills and experience required:

  • Open to industry sector experience however FMCG product manufacturing experience would be advantageous
  • Experience considered from senior business administration, customer services, sales support or planning
  • Dedicated, disciplined and commercially aware
  • High level of attention to detail - essential
  • Numerate with good MS office skills and an ability to pick bespoke systems and databases quickly
  • Good communication skills - tenacious
  • Creative and innovative in approach
  • Excellent organisation, planning, prioritisation and time management skills
