The holder of this role will deliver comprehensive support to the Site FD (supported by the Financial Controller and Senior Operations Accountant) assisting them to further grow and develop the Malton site through design and maintenance of a robust financial control environment and timely reporting and analysis of operational reporting including departmental yield and labour reporting.

Key to the success of this role will be the provision of accurate and timely management information upon which the site management team and key business partners can act to maximise the growth opportunities that exist within the business. Involvement in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all related reporting cycles will be a key priority to deliver the objectives.

In proportion to job responsibilities:

Role Tasks/Responsibilities

Support site finance controller in weekly and monthly group reporting requirements, incl. oversight of certain elements of site balance sheet and ongoing review of cost and revenue drivers

Support operations accountant with production and interrogation of departmental management information (daily/weekly reporting of site financial and operational KPIs, departmental yield and labour reports) in support of weekly site management and Karro/Sofina Group management reviews

Further development of the management reporting process to align departmental targets with site financial targets/objectives through all tiers of operations

Continuous improvement of finance and operational reporting cycles

Essential Criteria & Qualifications

Experience of business accounts/purchase ledger

Good educational background

Understanding of FMCG industry

Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion

Computer Literate with strong excel and analytical skills.
