SAP Support Analyst

A newly created opportunity to join an established IT business system team under the direction of the group business systems manager. The group SAP support analyst will work on day-to-day SAP functional support issues across the whole of the Eight Fifty Food group (Karro and our Seafood division). The role will involve working alongside the SAP implementation team supporting existing and new users across multiple sites, working closely with these sites and also external parties.

Key responsibilities:

The core tasks involve dealing with and resolving day to day functional support calls from the business. Analysing current business processes, determining new processes, resolving user issues or liaising with the SAP implementation team on configuration changes.

The main deliverables are to review, advise and resolve BAU support calls that are logged by the business users.

  • Maintaining close working relationships with other team members and sub-contractors
  • Performing assigned tasks according to specifications

Essential experience:

As the job holder will be often working independently, the most important skills required are self-motivation and the ability to take ownership of issues.

  • Proven experience in an SAP functional support role, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Good business knowledge and understanding of business processes in a food manufacturing business
  • Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients, customers, colleagues and subordinates
  • Ability to take a structured and effective approach to work, able to manage their time efficiently
  • Customer focused with good presentation skills
  • Highly motivated with a proactive can-do attitude
  • Team player - ability to work alone or part of a larger team
  • Able to demonstrate credibility at all levels
  • Shows sensitivity to political and cultural issues or changes
  • Commands respect for excellence, not only in areas of specific knowledge but also in all aspects of proposing, conducting and leading assignments and in obtaining acceptance of recommendations

  • SAP configuration skills
