Transactional Finance Support

This role is a key appointment within the credit control and accounts payable department, providing practical support and reporting to the accounts receivable manager. The successful candidate will take a full and active role in the department and will require a flexible and proactive approach in accordance with changing priorities. Working as part of the shared services credit control team, the role will include both aspects of transactional duties on both sales and purchase ledger. The successful applicant will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Running credit agency reports, updating sales ledger, master data, attaching into SAP, reporting to the accounts receivable manager any negative information to ensure appropriate decisions on credit can be made for the business
  • New customer investigations to be signed off by accounts receivable manager before setting up thereof by the credit controller
  • Creditor and debtor weekly reporting
  • Preparation of 7DL/LBA letters ready for sign off and posting
  • Preparation of supplier statements and reconciliations
  • Handling supplier queries and the processing of supplier invoices
  • Assist the accounts receivable manager in acquisition integration
  • Ad hoc transactional finance support where required

Skills & experience required:

  • Very good MS excel skills
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Experience of processing computer based data
  • Ability to receive and understand instructions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of working to deadlines
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently process sales and purchase ledger information is desirable
  • Experience of working within a large organisation is desirable
